This year, before the main conference days (October 24–25), we’re kicking things off with two immersive days of learning, collaboration, and bold experimentation.
🧩 About the Pre-Conference
Before we dive into the main conference weekend, PyHo 2025 opens with a two-part pre-conference experience designed to engage developers, makers, and innovators of all skill levels:
1. Django Day – Learn, Build, and Connect
A full-day, hands-on session dedicated to everything Django!
Whether you’re a beginner just getting started or a pro looking to sharpen your web development chops, Django Day is your space to learn, collaborate, and ship something awesome.
Expect guided workshops, live demos, and mentor-led sessions — all designed to get your creative energy flowing before the hackathon begins.
2. The Hackathon Experience

On October 22, we launch into the ultimate hackathon adventure! Bring your ideas to life, test new technologies, or create something unexpected.
From web apps and AI projects to IoT, open-source tools, or cross-tech prototypes — the stage is yours.
Work solo or team up with others to design, build, and present your innovation.
We’re not just celebrating code — we’re celebrating creativity, collaboration, and community.

Event Flow
- Django Day – Wednesday, October 22
Learn, collaborate, and get inspired with hands-on Django sessions. - Hackathon – Wednesday, October 22
The hackathon kicks off in full force! Teams will build and refine their projects through the day (and night!) and present their demos the next morning.

Anyone attending PyHo 2025 (in-person) is welcome to join!
You don’t have to be an expert — whether you’re a designer, developer, or idea generator, there’s a place for you here.
🧠 How Big Should the Project Be?
As big or small as you want!
You can prototype something simple or tackle a large-scale project — it doesn’t need to be complete to present.
What matters is creativity, collaboration, and showing up with your best ideas.
🤝 Individual or Group Projects
Work solo or team up — the choice is yours. Collaboration is at the heart of the hackathon, and we can’t wait to see what ideas spark when people come together.
🌟 Expert Mentors
We’ve got amazing mentors ready to support you — from Django experts to innovators in AI, Web3, IoT, and open-source technology.
They’ll be available throughout the event to guide, advise, and help you push your ideas forward.
🌍 Networking Opportunities
This is your chance to meet fellow developers, creators, and thinkers from across Ghana and beyond.
